xMatters Integration

The xMatters integration allows Velocity to ingest xMatters incidents` events

1. In xMatters, open the Integration Builder tab of the workflow you want to integrate with Velocity.

2. Under Outbound Integrations, click Add.

3. In the New Outbound Integration page, define your trigger:

   • Form: New Incident

   • Trigger type: Status Updates

Step 2 — Configure the Webhook Action

1. In the Choose an Action section:

   • Action: Select Send a Webhook.

   • Location: Choose whether the integration should run in the Cloud or via xMatters Agents (if you run local agents).

2. If using agents, select the appropriate agent(s) from the list.

3. In the Endpoint dropdown:

   • Enter the following endpoint: https://api.velocity.tech/api/v1/webhooks/xmatters?token=<your_velocity_token>

Step 3 — Name and Save

1. Enter a descriptive name for the integration, e.g. Velocity Webhook.

2. Click Create Outbound Integration.
