Slack Integration

The Slack integration allows Velocity to deliver real-time, actionable insights and remediation steps directly into your team’s workflows—right inside Slack.

You can set up the Slack integration in less than 2 minutes by following these steps:

1. Log into Velocity - Go to https://app.velocity.tech and sign in to your workspace.

2. Navigate to the Integrations Page

   1. In the left-hand menu, click “Integrations”.

   2. Locate Slack in the list and click “Configure”.

3. Click “Install”

   1. You’ll be redirected to authenticate with Slack. Follow the authorization flow and grant Velocity the required permissions to access your workspace and post messages.

4. Success! 🚀 - Once the installation is complete, Velocity will be able to send incident triage threads and root cause insights directly into the Slack channels of your choice. You can specify which channels are used for alerts and how the triage information is displayed..

Velocity can also be configured to automatically trigger investigations based on specific Slack alerts, saving you time and reducing MTTR even further. Learn more here
